Devonshire Teas
Opulent jam and cream scones, and thirst-quenching hot tea and coffee. You can overdose on gorgeousness, then head into the tearoom to flop down, debrief and recharge.
YOU ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE
ANYONE is welcome to bring roses along and exhibit them for competition, experienced or not!
If you are new to rose exhibiting there is an encouraging novice section, and there will be non-competitive displays as well. Just bring whatever roses happen to be blooming (OR deploy a killer strategy to get a competitive edge), and contribute to the total effect, which will be heavenly.
Sandra is available to be contacted, to welcome you and guide you through your first steps into taking part in the exhibition.
Spring Rose Show prep
From 05:00 am, helpers start setting up the hall, which is open at 05.30 am for competitors to begin to set up their exhibits with all precision possible within a very limited time frame.
By 10:00 am sharp all exhibits are in place, and at 10.20 am the judges, in strict seclusion, get busy selecting the best of the best.
By the time the doors open at 1 pm, the winners have been chosen and the exhibits are ready for everyone to come and see. The awards are given and received with much joy and pride in the later part of Sunday afternoon, along with the drawing of the raffle prizes…
